These Terms & Conditions outline the agreement between The Maths Mindset Academy and the parent/guardian or adult and student. By booking tutoring services, you agree to the terms below.

1. Services Provided

We provide online maths tutoring through the following formats:

• 1:1 tutoring

• Pairs tutoring (two students together)

• Seasonal group sessions, including GCSE past‑paper workshops and exam bootcamps

All lessons are delivered via Zoom and last 55 minutes.

2. Payments

• Payments are made in advance, either monthly or on the Sunday before your child's session. This ensures consistent scheduling, commitment, and reduced administration.

• Prices are communicated privately via email or invoice and are not listed publicly on the website.

• Payments are made via bank transfer only.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

3.1 Parent/Student Cancellations

• 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations.

• Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are chargeable in full.

• Each student receives 4 free cancellations per academic year for unavoidable circumstances.

• Sessions during half‑terms, Christmas, Easter, and Summer holidays are optional and do not affect the 4 free cancellations.

 

​3.2 No‑Shows & Lateness

• Lessons end at the scheduled time, even if the student joins late.

• If the student has not joined within 10 minutes and no communication has been made, the session is marked as absent and no refund is given.

• If you experience technical issues, please contact us as soon as possible.

3.3 Tutor Cancellations

If we need to cancel a session, the payment for that session will be carried forward to the next month.

4. Lesson Requirements

To ensure a productive learning environment, students must:

• Have their camera on

• Work in a quiet space

• Have something to write on and write with

• Avoid using other devices during the session

5. Behaviour Expectations

We expect respectful behaviour at all times. We reserve the right to terminate services if:

• Behaviour is consistently disruptive

• The learning environment is inappropriate

• Communication becomes disrespectful or uncooperative

6. Communication

We communicate with parents and students via:

• Email

• WhatsApp

Our working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm. Messages received outside these hours will be responded to during working times.

7. Safeguarding

• All lessons are delivered via Zoom.

• Lessons are not recorded.

• A responsible adult must be present in the home for students under 18.

• Students must keep cameras on for safeguarding and engagement.

• We follow UK safeguarding guidance and report concerns where required.

8. Intellectual Property

All worksheets, slides, resources, and materials provided by The Maths Mindset Academy are our intellectual property.

They must not be:

• Shared

• Reproduced

• Distributed

• Uploaded online

without written permission.

9. Termination of Services

We may end tutoring services if:

• Payments are late

• Behaviour is inappropriate

• Attendance is inconsistent

• The parent–tutor relationship breaks down

• Safeguarding concerns arise

You may also end services at any time with written notice.

10. Liability

While we aim to support academic progress, we cannot guarantee specific exam results.

We are not responsible for:

• Technical issues on the student’s side

• Missed sessions due to connectivity problems

• Actions taken based on advice or resources provided

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be communicated via email and updated on our website.
