This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, missed sessions, and refunds are handled at The Maths Mindset Academy. It is a simplified guide. For full legal terms, please refer to our Terms & Conditions.

1. General Policy

All tutoring sessions are planned in advance, and your time slot is reserved exclusively for you. For this reason, cancellations and refunds follow the rules below.

2. Cancellation Notice Period

• 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel a session without charge.

• Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are non‑refundable.

3. Free Cancellations

Each student receives 4 free cancellations per academic year for unavoidable circumstances.

These can be used for things such as illness, emergencies, or unexpected events.

Holiday Sessions

Sessions during the following periods are optional and do not affect the 4 free cancellations:

• Half‑term

• Christmas

• Easter

• Summer holidays

4. No‑Shows & Lateness

• Lessons end at the scheduled time, even if the student joins late.

• If the student has not joined within 10 minutes and no communication has been made, the session is marked as absent.

• No refund is given for no‑shows.

• If you experience technical issues, please contact us as soon as possible.

5. Tutor Cancellations

If we need to cancel a session:

• The payment for that session will be carried forward to the next month

• You will not lose the session or be charged extra

6. Refunds

Refunds are only issued when:

• The tutor cancels and you prefer a refund instead of a credit

• A payment has been made in error

Refunds are not issued for:

• Late cancellations

• No‑shows

• Missed sessions due to technical issues on the student’s side

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
