Progress you can see. Confidence you can feel.

Frequently asked questions
General
The Maths Mindset Academy is built on the belief that every student is capable of far more than they realise. My approach is shaped not only by my professional training, but also by my own personal journey. I struggled with maths and education myself until a teacher believed in me and that experience changed the entire direction of my life. It’s the reason I now do the same for my students.
As someone with ADHD, I also understand first‑hand how anxiety, self‑doubt, and traditional classroom pressures can affect learning. This gives me a unique perspective when supporting students who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or convinced they “just can’t do maths”. I know what it feels like to need someone who sees your potential before you see it yourself.
At The Maths Mindset Academy, maths isn’t taught as a list of methods to memorise or equations to survive in an exam. Instead, the focus is on developing the skills that truly matter: problem‑solving, perseverance, logical thinking, and the confidence to approach challenges with a clear mind. I tell my students all the time, not everyone will go on to study maths, but everyone can take these skills into their future careers and everyday lives.
Yes, students make excellent academic progress here, and many exceed their own expectations in GCSEs. But the real success is when they leave with a different relationship with maths, seeing it not as methods, but as a subject that has helped them grow in resilience, independence, and belief in themselves.
That mindset shift is what makes The Maths Mindset Academy different.
